Holes vs. no holes

Bare metal comes with or without mounting holes. Powder-coated numbers always have 2 holes, because powder coating requires hanging each piece by its holes while it's sprayed and cured in the oven.

Frequently asked questions

Is 8" the right size for my house?
Most US building codes call for address numbers at least 4" tall. 8" numbers work well for homes set back from the street or larger buildings. Check your city's requirements, since some require larger numbers.

Which fraction style should I choose?
½ comes in two styles: slash, or stacked with one number over the other and a bar between them. ⅛, ¼, ⅓, ⅔, and ¾ come stacked only. If you're ordering ½ along with any other fraction, choose ½ Stacked so your fractions match.

Will they rust?
Powder-coated numbers are sealed against rust and weather. Bare numbers arrive sanded or sandblasted and must be washed, dried thoroughly, primed, and painted, or they will rust.

Can I get numbers without holes?
Yes, in bare metal. Choose Bare Metal - No Holes. Powder-coated numbers always have holes because of how the coating is applied.

How do I get a floating look?
Add our aluminum spacers to hold each number off the wall. The spacers are aluminum, so they won't rust.

Can I order a custom size?
